| Free Smoke Detectors to Lititz Area Residents
The "Amanda Schoenberger Memorial Smoke Detector Program" will be having a free smoke detector give-away/fundraiser at Bombergers Store (555 Furnace Hills Pike, Lititz) on December 12th from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.
This program was started after Amanda and her parents died in a house fire on Christmas morning 2004. The family, very sadly, had no operating smoke detectors in their home. The Lititz Fire Company found a smoke detector on the second floor that was not mounted and contained no battery. In an effort never to have a situation like this happen again the "Amanda Schoenberger Memorial Smoke Detector Program" was started to bring awareness to the public about the necessity of having operating smoke detectors on every level of your home. The program provides smoke detectors to anyone in the Warwick School District at no charge.
Please test your smoke detectors on a regular basis and have a terrific and safe Holiday Season!!
